Reduce DAG size to include 2GB GPUs

https://ift.tt/eA8V8J

I saw the news yesterday that ETC reduced their DAG size to 2.48GB. I was wondering if there's any consideration to reduce this to say 1.5GB, so 2GB GPU owners can mine as well.

Currently these people (myself included) are all mining smaller shitcoins as there's not a big MC coin that allows for those smaller power GPUs to mine.

I think ultimately it will benefit ETC the more new people join. Network effect & such.

Additionally there's no argument against it, 1.5GB doesn't make it less secure than 2.48GB, on the contrary, it will make it more secure since more people will be securing the network. At 1.5GB DAG size you also don't see more efficient ASICs than the ones that already exist.
