Wrapped Monero on top of Etherium?

I am a big fan of Monero (for privacy and true community driven development) and I am also a big fun of ETH and its DeFi ecosystem for obvious reasons. I found this archived thread:

I wonder if anything came out of it since then? Where I can read more about it? One of the suggestions was to make a wrapped Monero version, so it can be traded on all ETH dex'es. I think it would be really great to have such trustless and decentralized bridge between ETH and XMR. In fact, it would also provide bridge to BTC (through wrapped BTC on top of Etherium). What do you think?
